Enjoy the spectacular uninterrupted views of Lake Macquarie while feeling comfortable and relaxed in the light and airy cottage, which has been extensively renovated inside and out. It is the perfect place to recharge while enjoying this wonderful part of the world!

Good to know

The Bungalow comfortably sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. The front room with queen bed has extensive views of the lake while the second bedroom has a double bed. Open plan living is key at The Bungalow, enjoy the view from the lounge area, dining table or cute reading nook! The kitchen has everything you need including stove, oven, fridge, crockery and glassware. We provide cooking basics like oil, salt, pepper, tea and coffee. There is a large bathroom with shower and European laundry with washer and dryer. Quality appliances and furnishings throughout. Stay comfortable all year round with reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans. Outside enjoy the deck with outdoor dining and BBQ. The slip is perfect to launch your kayaks and paddle boards. The jetty is available to use however please note that it is shared with our lovely neighbours, please be respectful when using it. We hope you enjoy our bungalow! House rules

The property is in a quiet neighbourhood. Please respect those around us and ensure you do not cause any loud noise or music. We have permanent neighbours nearby and must ensure this rule is adhered to. We do not accept bookings for any parties, schoolies, hens or bucks celebrations. A responsible adult must be in attendance at all bookings. No additional visitors beyond those on the booking are allowed onto the property at anytime. Please take all your rubbish to outside bins in sealed bags before you check out. Please be courteous to our cleaners and leave the house in a reasonable state. All damages must be paid for. We are bound by the NSW government Code of Conduct for the Short-term Rental Accommodation Industry and as a guest, you are required to abide by these laws. These regulations outline behaviour standards which include ensuring noise does not disturb neighbours, your responsibility for any damage caused to the property and your responsibility for the behaviour of any other guests in your group

Coal point is a lovely seaside family friendly suburb in Lake Macquarie. There is a boat ramp 2 minutes drive away from the property. It is a 2 minute drive also to Carey Bay shops where you can buy the best seafood from Shane’s Seafood, go for coffee at The Goods cafe & bottle shop. A 5 minute drive takes you into the heart of Toronto where there is Coles, Woolworths and Aldi to get your groceries from. There is also a range of bakeries, cafes and restaurants to choose from!

Guest access

As you drive into the driveway there will be a small gate to open as you enter the property. The gravel driveway leads you halfway down the property where there is car parking for 2 cars. There is a gravel path that will then take you down 2 small sets of stairs (6 steps each) to the front door. The bungalow sits on a large block of land so there is a lot of space for you to enjoy! If stairs are an issue, the block is on a gentle slope and it is easy to access the bungalow from the side without any stairs.

This is the most stunning little cottage.. quite private, from the neighbours, and right in the water, Beautifully newly renovated, with everything you could want for spending a few days in paradise. I absolutely LOVED our stay here x

Find us

We recommend driving so you can explore the area of Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley and Newcastle however it is possible to catch public transport. If coming by train the closest station is Fassifern station (10 minute taxi / Uber) or 30 minute bus ride (1 change in Toronto).
